On Sadness and Happiness

Once there was this farmer. With his divine touch, he gently placed the seed of life into the soil and nourished it with all his love and compassion. He smiled with each cm you grew, laughed at how you bent and squirmed about. You were tiny and fragile, but under his protective wing, he made you what you are and will be forever.

The lush green leaves that delicately stem from a stem (xD), with each passing dawn sweet drops of dew would form; for others to enjoy. They were beautiful, part of the perfect plan, and everyone else would admire at how it glided smoothly across the leaf and fall to the ground with a soft splash. These leaves were your rice bowl, they created food from the rays of sunlight that shine down each day, they were what made you so pure and natural too.

Then your stem, which was your foundation and backbone. It was something you could rely on for support, something that would never waver even under trememdous pressure unlike other plants. Yes, you were strong, so very strong that even the wind and rain could not leave a mark on you. Yet in all its sturdiness, your stem was still flexible. It could bend towards the much needed sunlight, or anywhere else that you chose to. This stem was green as that of a lime, bright and outstanding, a fresh and healthy green pigment.

Not forgetting, hidden under the ground, roots of wisdom and strength, those that gave support to your stem. They invaded the ground, with patience and peseverance, pushing through the soil to cover more area. They were deep-rooted, wide-spread, and still expanding. Your presence could not only be seen above the ground, but also felt under the soil. Many knew the depth of your roots, the immense size of it all, absorbing the water that lay undisturbed before you came. It was colossal, and it was widely known and respected, only second to few.

Last but not least, and most amazing of all, the flowers and fruits that you grew. They were of high quality, always ripe when it needed to, sweet at the right time, and always enjoyed by the busy insects that scuttle around timidly to enjoy nature's wonders. Not only to the insects, but to all humans that could smell your fragrance and stare with awe at the stunning colours of your flowers. Many wondered how this was all possible, how could a such a perfect plant be placed on such a place?

Then one fine day, the farmer walked past this plant, and realised your beauty and grace. He too came to understand that you had reached a new standard, you were already so well developed, and you were something that surpassed that of many other plants that he had come across in his years as an experienced garderner. He treasured you, and it struck him that this was no place for such an awesome plant. You had worked so hard, and now it was time to bring you to a safe and enjoyable place, free from temptation and competition. So, he finally uprooted you and placed you in a pot inside his home. Now you bring happiness to him every single time he comes across you, and I'm sure that you enjoy it too. Ther perfection of it all...

The only drawback was that you left a gaping hole in the soil, and in all our hearts.

On thursday night, after choir prac, which was enjoyable at time and not at other times, I finally made my way to Novena Square. I had expected it to happen, and yes it did. Choir practice ended late and I did not get to say hi or bye to the YO people. So sry to all those, and to the others who had to wait for me!

Well, rushed all the way there, rushed to takeaway my dinner, rushed to my friend's dad's car, and we went all the way back to Bishan to my friend's house -.- Yeah, thanks for making me rush all the way there and waste 45 cents when your house was 10 min away from school (where I came from). Haha, but anyway, we still did have fun, being the usual crappy and retarded people we were.

So we went to our friend's house, which was huge!! With a steinway baby grand, 50 inch TV? A humongous fish tank, a cello + violin + many many musical materials + a big family +++
Why you got so much stuff?! Bleh, so yeah, TA was suaning everyone playing the piano (charles and I played too), while pan stoned arnd cuz there was no double bass for him to play. Hah, Yeah na played the violin and Sherm too was stoning arnd. But yeah we talked a lot, probably disturbed everyone in the neighbourhood, and yeah...but we did have a great time. Thnx to whoever that organised it! Sadly, quite a number of people couldn't make it, due to exams, other commiments etc. Next time we must ensure that more people would come.

Okay, I'm tired now. Shall con't on another fun experience today (friday) when I feel like it.
