This boy

John was on the train on his way back home. He had just finished supper with some of his good friends, and he was feeling warm and cosy on the inside after that well spent time with his friends, even though the carriage was empty and cold.

Or so he thought. Little did he notice a little boy sitting opposite him, quietly and in fact rather calmly eventhough he too, was all by himself at such a time.

"Are you real at all young boy?" asked John, as he thought he was seeing things.

The little boy ran across towards him, and jumped onto his lap.

John was taken aback. If he was real, then what was he be doing on the train all by himself at such a time?

"Hey kid, where's your mum?" John asked curiously. The little boy did not answer but pointed upwards, looking longingly at the ceiling of the carriage; or rather, looking through it, towards the dark and sinister sky. Beyond that, the heavens.

"Oh I'm sorry, I didn't know...then where's your dad?" John asked again. Again, the little boy did not answer, but pointed towards the floor of the carriage, a sparkling tear rolling down his rosy and chubby cheek.

John instinctively gave the little boy a tight hug, one of compassion and pity, and poured into the sad little boy all the love he could offer. This hug surpassed any other hug he had given to any other person, even including his wife.

After that intense moment, John finally pulled back and looked into the little boy's eyes. He saw through those innocent eyes a depressed soul, tormented and totured. Yet, his appearance contradicted what was actually deep in him.

Then, the little boy pointed to his stomache. John nodded, treating the little boy as if it was his child. They got off the train together, the little boy on John's broad shoulders, and both of them glided down the escalator gleefully.

People! Whoever out there that reads this: Jon Leong sings better than Hady! But you have to admit that Hady has better stage presence...and maybe that's what's so important if one wants to be an idol.

Either way, Hady screams so much such that he goes out off tune quite frequently. And still, Taufik > Hady. So why not add a little diversity and let Jon Leong win? So that we'll have two different people that have very different singing styles, instead of a Taufik, and another Taufik-spoof that's not as good as Taufik himself?

Jon Leong still has heart, at least. He'll be the next coldplay hopefully.

Indoor stadium rocks! Yeah, went to watch SI Finals (Performance show); thnx to my dad for the free tickets! And Gurmit was good (=

It was a good show, with the two sets of emcees (and 1 of them fell off the stage, sprained his ankle, and spoilt the mic). Full of shouting and cheering, something that I haven't heard and seen in a long time (I don't follow SI THAT closely. And I'm usually in a rather peaceful environment). Well, good to take a break.

Good luck to everyone who have eoys coming up.
I can't understand why our school has to have it so late...give us less time to play. But well, being forgetful as usual, I have suddenly realised that life is going to be just as stressful after eoys. Well, I don't have a choice do I?

As usual, busy with the usual load of work and stuff. More tests, more projects. Hope everyone pulls through too (=
___________________________________________________________________

Does it really matter if I know you well? You hide behind walls, blend into the shadows, run at the slightest disturbance. But I have this little torch in my hand. It's a puny one, black as the darkest of nights (xD) with a tiny red button to switch it on and off. Small as it may seem, it was dear to me, extremely in fact. It was my only beacon of light, my lifeline, all my hope depended on this weak beam of light.

Finding this needle in a haystack was a pain in the neck. I was weary, and my hand ached too. Then a faint knock. It came from somewhere on my left. I shifted the sweat-coated torchlight and panned it around, straining my eyes to see any form of movement. Vaguely, I could spot a shadow in the shadow of a huge trash dump. Were my eyes playing tricks on me? I stared harder. It was not out of anger that I did it, it was not out of the hurt I had been through that I made this decision, neither was it out of my heart. I had grown cold in this lifeless world, feelings had no more significance. All I wanted to do was to find you and bring you home.

I did it. And no you were not there. I had my hopes high moments ago, but now this balloon was deflated and flying away. Yet no matter what, I will continue finding you till my torchlight wears out. Maybe when there's no more light you'll come to hide in my shadow.

The Weird Life

He has been good to me. Thank you so much (=
After so much pain and suffering, I now find peace at my doorstep, and I grab the opportunity.
Life has become good, after a period of toture and struggling, a time of loss and depression. And all this has turned into a new beginning; this will be a time of success (= [hopefully la!]

Got back quite a few papers...and did relatively well for all! (better than last semester). Just a few more weeks to freedom man...after that yet another obstacle. Haiz, the obstacles never change. They remain at the same position, and each round I run I face the same obstacles. When will this end? Or at least give me water break first?!!

School has been okay this week. Except for the fact that we had 4 tests [2 were CCTs]. And this wk amazingly; I didn't play soccer! Too tired, or just don't want to play, I'm not sure. But must start to exercise soon (=

Anyway, people around me are starting to feel the stress of life. Besides work, things like finding their ownself, acceptance of failure, finding out about their love life and many more....are starting to creep into everyone's lives. Well, one can say it's part of life, but we all take it differently, don't we? Those who have failed before are more comfortable with failure, those who have experienced love, and losing it, are immune to break ups. Yet, there are those who have no experience. And for these people who may be struggling trying to get on with life, just a bit of motivation to spur you on.

Once you have been through all these setbacks and struggles you may start to have a new outlook on life; or a change of mindset.

Saturday 16th Sept

Bleh, I'm laggin again. Too lazy to blog damnit; I do admire those who can post rather long posts on the same day itself, and are consistent about it. (=

Anyway, today's about Sat, and today, yeah. Saturday was a packed day. Morning had cca from 8am - 12.30pm (prac is finally gonna stop aftr this wed). I'm not sure how we are getting along though. Seems like the songs we are depending on are not that solid yet. Still, there has been some progress, and we all really do hope that some day results will show. Maybe miraculously haha. But the songs are difficult man...Technically and intepretation-wise. Yet they still sound nice houyes. Also, I'm really looking forward to next year, where our batch will push for a lot more stuff and demand more say and influence in cca matters (=

Haiz, had lunch @ J8 foodcourt. We went there as a big group, but in the end due to the lack of space we all had to split up. And red beanie was there haha, to meet Mr. prefect xD Hope they had a good time together lalala.

Went back @ 2+. Had chin. tution @ 3. How tiring...but got get my homework done with the help of the teacher (yep, this teacher is good and very experienced!)

Hmph, finally. A bit of time for some rest and relaxation and forty winks, with a dota game (or was it standard??). But anyway, time to leave again..off to Esplanade to watch Forbidden City!!! Yeah my mum rocks, she asked me to go and watch (= So went there with to have dinner with my mum's friend (and her daughter who was our friend too). Feasted at Carl's Jr. at Marina Bay. The food was good and filling!

Then went to buy a few impt stuff b4 heading off to esplanade. Haha, by the time we went in my sis' friends were all already seated...so early some more. Haiz, and they're just as crazy as our class (maybe not AS bad as that la but almost there). Crapped around a lot, and yes, we were making quite a ruckus, laughing and all.

Anyway, the show is GOOD! I'm not gonna say anything go watch for urself!!! Next up, SI finals, muahahaha..

Sch!

Yay. Sch reopen liao and everyone is just sian. Darn, woke up with a damn bad headache today...but I'm okay now at least (=

Well, RE periods are now replaced with lesson, so it's like 6 hrs of sch on monday. No more 3 hours of free period during RE anymore!!! =( Tues was okay. Had econs DMP in the afternoon which was damn fun. Got a lot of games and things to eat. I think if you go Ngee Ann Poly the classes will be like that! Ahh, how fun...

Wed was rather okay too la. We all are tired, but the lessons are all screwed up. Now that we got new teachers, our class is practically screwing around more than ever (for every single class la!). Even the guai ppl are starting to become screwed up, yes....even the teachers are becoming super lame and funny and wadeva! Yay. School will never be the same again with our new teachers! (so sad Soon gonna leave soon. Lol the lame pun that he uses on himself :P)

Choir prac are becomin more intensive as time draws nearer to that fated trip. Haiz, now Sat also got prac (4 hrs lor...besides mon and wed. That makes a total of 11 hrs of prac), but hopefully we will be satisfied with all the hard work put in.

Anyway. Today is thurs! Yay, no maths. The relief math teacher is....just boring. Like monotonous, and everything; and everyone always just say yes when she ask us whether we understand what she is saying (haha we just dun care at times). But today we had Eng 1st, which was uber slack. We did like almost nothing, though I found the article reading was quite useful. And we wasted the rest of the time voting for the stuff tt we are gonna debate on.

Had test during Chinese. Close + Compre. The compre was okay. But I hope I don't screw up my close.

After that was physics, which as usual was fun n interactive with soon's lameness. He now adopts the ability to imitate us. So like when we say, "gabriel so cute." or make weird noises he imitates them, which is really funny. Soon in a baby voice, "Gabriel so cute." Yes neo was being random also today when he kept making hardoghey noises after everything he said (yes and he did like fkuo's hand :P).

After recess was chem, which erm.....was okay lar. Nothing spectacular today. Btw he's evil, he doesn't want all of us to get A for Chem. Walao...

Finally, assembly. Dun wan to talk about it.

YES. MEP! I love MEP classes now. Because we got this new relief teacher and we are like WTFOMG.....cannot believe that we could mess around THIS much in class. Whoaaaa, it was extremely refreshing and fun. Haha, just keep crapping around until cannot take it liao. Even the teacher played along at times. Btw, we all scwitched names so she now thinks I'm li nan. yay, we even did hardoghey movements blatantly BEHIND HER during the short clip of some opera performance. Yay, then the rest of the time just laugh and laugh and laugh and laugh.....until stomache pain liao. Then aftr that we met na on the way to the MRT.

Once again, TA owas on a high. Screaming and shouting along with na while we were like..wa crap. Now got 2 of them liao...haha. Kermit finally met her! And dng was too shocked to do anything. Yes, they talk damn loud and na is super random (so is TA how amusing. tsk tsk). Yay, not that much work now I shall take a break tonite.

Back to school

Okay, I'm happy now that I'm able to get back to school routine/ or hope so. But my body isn't willing and I'm having a bad cold *sniff*. Yikes.

On Friday and Saturday

Okay, here goes. I finally have a bit of time to blog. But i'll try to keep it to 10 minutes. Still got work to do!! =(

___________________________________________

Friday (8th Sept)

For once I felt awake, thanks to an early night and a thourough face wash in the morning. It was 7am in the morning, and I had to rush off to school for cca prac. So yeah, our section had 1 hour less of practice than all the other sections, but that does not mean we are more slack! Because I don't think anyone can concentrate well for 3 straight hours, and because we did have a productive session. There was a significant improvement after prac and I hope that this standard would not fall (=

Prac finished at 10am, and I took my time to get to Potong Pasir MRT (dunno what I was doing). Amazingly, I spent two hours getting from Bishan MRT to Potong Pasir MRT. The wonders of time-wasting...

Met the rest of the song writing comp ppl outside the MRT and waited for everyone to arrive. Haha, Quan Wei agreed that he was now a public nuisance :P Because I stuffed my drink into his back, then he threw the drink back at me, expecting me to catch it. But I didn't! I jumped away and the whole cup smashed onto the floor with a resounding crackle of ice spilling all over the floor. The MRT staff made him clean up every drop of water after that. Haiz, so suay...so I helped him out la! yay

Strolled all the way to SAJC to collect the prize money after that. Being blur as usual, Jorel and I didn't realise that J. Lim had already collected the money (the rest couldn't make it). So we stoned around the general office while everyone else collected their prizes. So silly... We didn't even realise that we didn't have the letter that was needed to collect the prizes lol. So anyway, being undecided as usual, everyone just stood outside the general office, no idea on what we should do next.

So finally, someone decided to say Lunch at Plaza Sing, and everyone, having no opinion whatsoever, just followed each other aimlessly all the way to ps. It was rather amusing to see everyone clueless. At ps, Steff suggested Swenson's, so again everyone moved to Swenson's, and stoned outside, because we did not know whether to eat at Thai Express or at Swenson's. Finally, taking the lead, Steff walked into Swenson's and so did everyone else (she wanted to eat this. And she claims to be daring enough to dance in public).

So yeah, ordered our food and interacted with each other, and we all finally decided to break the "inter-sch barrier" by talking to everyone else (and playing too). Had many fun and retarded games and conversations. And by the way, Jorel was being bullied by Chloe, which was super funny! Oh yes, to everyone (esp QW and Chloe), we must get together to play soccer the next time! Yepp, don't want to elaborate much on how stupid we all were at Swenson's. But thanks to everyone for coming, we did have a great time together.

Went home, and went out again later that night (Spent a lot on public transport today). Had dinner with my family @ Big "O". Although the food wasn't exeptional, the deserts were! Mudpies!!! Choc + more choc + more choc. It was very very yummy. And after that, we went to watch Monster House together. haha (= Rather interesting and amusing, and my dad wasn't that bored after all (I was laughing like mad at the beginning where they showed this cute little girl riding a bicycle. Couldn't believe my dad watched this kinda of stuff but he had no choice because we all wanted to watch! xD)

Saturday (9th Sept)

Once again, woke up rather early to have breakfast with family before picking up my friends at yio chu kang for physics PT. We are more or less done with it (just a bit more), and Im happy that we've accomplished another piece of work. (= haha. So well, Choon went off first. Ajay and Ed stayed back to play xbox, and it was fun and funny. We just played football ( on xbox la) throughout the whole day (oh yes and watched batman LOL).

Ed went off b4 dinner, and Ajay stayed back to watch the Liv - Eve match which sadly was lost by Liv who had so many chances, but was rather crappy and slack (Benitez why did you play an injured Carragher!). Yes, we tried some cool stuff in the game and messed around yeah. It was enjoyable (=. Ajay's dad came at around 10pm+ to pick him up. And yes Ajay, if we train more we will become super pro whee.

He was really tired, to the extent that his will could not even overcome this feeling even though he was mentally trained and physically strong. Those sagging eyebags, from the lack of sleep, made him look like a zombie, accompanied by the lethargic pose, ultimately made him lifeless. Totally.

He stood there, leaning heavily against the wall, head down, visibly crest-fallen. His arms were folded, exposing those bulging muscles that protruded from his arms. Yet, he still tried to stay awake. No, not tried to, he needed to. Wait, more likely, must do so. The consequences were dire if he succumbed to the charm of the sleepy atmosphere at night. It always beckoned him, pestered him to have his beauty sleep. Yet, though it seemed subtle and superficial at first, the charm was now growing stronger, while he was growing weaker.

He looked terrible, absolutely miserable, and he was afraid. Not so much of what he would face if he failed this mission, but rather, terrified by the unknown. He did not know much, all he knew was that he had to stay there, awake. It was a wonder, that such a colossal muscle-man like him did not know anything about what he was doing. Why? His actions were to satisfy someone else's purpose, and that someone did not want to let him know so soon.

Suddenly, there was a tap on the wall. Soft, yet startling at such a time, where everything should have been absolutely silent, as the past days and months were. He lowered his hand to the gun hidden in his black leather jacket, which had gathered much dust over the months and its days were well over. Again, that tapping sound. It was from somewhere above, and its identity was still unknown to him. Freaky, sure.

Suddenly, the man dropped down like a sack onto the floor. Nothing had come into contact with him. He just lay there, motionless, never to twitch another muscle again. The tapping stopped too. What a painful death. But nontheless, he still failed.

He is real, as we claim. Yet irrational to all of us.

On Sadness and Happiness

Once there was this farmer. With his divine touch, he gently placed the seed of life into the soil and nourished it with all his love and compassion. He smiled with each cm you grew, laughed at how you bent and squirmed about. You were tiny and fragile, but under his protective wing, he made you what you are and will be forever.

The lush green leaves that delicately stem from a stem (xD), with each passing dawn sweet drops of dew would form; for others to enjoy. They were beautiful, part of the perfect plan, and everyone else would admire at how it glided smoothly across the leaf and fall to the ground with a soft splash. These leaves were your rice bowl, they created food from the rays of sunlight that shine down each day, they were what made you so pure and natural too.

Then your stem, which was your foundation and backbone. It was something you could rely on for support, something that would never waver even under trememdous pressure unlike other plants. Yes, you were strong, so very strong that even the wind and rain could not leave a mark on you. Yet in all its sturdiness, your stem was still flexible. It could bend towards the much needed sunlight, or anywhere else that you chose to. This stem was green as that of a lime, bright and outstanding, a fresh and healthy green pigment.

Not forgetting, hidden under the ground, roots of wisdom and strength, those that gave support to your stem. They invaded the ground, with patience and peseverance, pushing through the soil to cover more area. They were deep-rooted, wide-spread, and still expanding. Your presence could not only be seen above the ground, but also felt under the soil. Many knew the depth of your roots, the immense size of it all, absorbing the water that lay undisturbed before you came. It was colossal, and it was widely known and respected, only second to few.

Last but not least, and most amazing of all, the flowers and fruits that you grew. They were of high quality, always ripe when it needed to, sweet at the right time, and always enjoyed by the busy insects that scuttle around timidly to enjoy nature's wonders. Not only to the insects, but to all humans that could smell your fragrance and stare with awe at the stunning colours of your flowers. Many wondered how this was all possible, how could a such a perfect plant be placed on such a place?

Then one fine day, the farmer walked past this plant, and realised your beauty and grace. He too came to understand that you had reached a new standard, you were already so well developed, and you were something that surpassed that of many other plants that he had come across in his years as an experienced garderner. He treasured you, and it struck him that this was no place for such an awesome plant. You had worked so hard, and now it was time to bring you to a safe and enjoyable place, free from temptation and competition. So, he finally uprooted you and placed you in a pot inside his home. Now you bring happiness to him every single time he comes across you, and I'm sure that you enjoy it too. Ther perfection of it all...

The only drawback was that you left a gaping hole in the soil, and in all our hearts.

On thursday night, after choir prac, which was enjoyable at time and not at other times, I finally made my way to Novena Square. I had expected it to happen, and yes it did. Choir practice ended late and I did not get to say hi or bye to the YO people. So sry to all those, and to the others who had to wait for me!

Well, rushed all the way there, rushed to takeaway my dinner, rushed to my friend's dad's car, and we went all the way back to Bishan to my friend's house -.- Yeah, thanks for making me rush all the way there and waste 45 cents when your house was 10 min away from school (where I came from). Haha, but anyway, we still did have fun, being the usual crappy and retarded people we were.

So we went to our friend's house, which was huge!! With a steinway baby grand, 50 inch TV? A humongous fish tank, a cello + violin + many many musical materials + a big family +++
Why you got so much stuff?! Bleh, so yeah, TA was suaning everyone playing the piano (charles and I played too), while pan stoned arnd cuz there was no double bass for him to play. Hah, Yeah na played the violin and Sherm too was stoning arnd. But yeah we talked a lot, probably disturbed everyone in the neighbourhood, and yeah...but we did have a great time. Thnx to whoever that organised it! Sadly, quite a number of people couldn't make it, due to exams, other commiments etc. Next time we must ensure that more people would come.

Okay, I'm tired now. Shall con't on another fun experience today (friday) when I feel like it.

Hols & I

Sry people. I haven't been blogging for quite a long time. Next time I'll start having more pics too (= But I'm Gonna Add a music player very soon.

Hmph, so now the hols have start. Been out for most of Sat and Sun, and I've been to lazy/tired to blog bout both days haha. So what does the holidays mean to me? A time of relaxation and peace? No way...with all the stuff I, and probably everyone else, have to do, It'll be a rather tough week, especially with the "hols" mindset, where you don't want to do any work and just play and laze around and sleep and what else.

Anyway, this is a short holiday. But well, now that there is less school, I want to get out, go somewhere else, besides home and my 2nd home, school. Seriously, to come to think of it, we have spent countless hours couped up at home mugging and doing work. If we're not at home, then we'll probably be at school with cca and such. I don't know what motivates all of us, what drives us to carry out this routine almost on a daily basis.

So, well, already booked for thurs and fri (= But hey, for the countless hours we have all spent doing work (and probably more with holiday homework), we should deserve more than this meagre "treat". Hmph, dun feel like writing anymore...vry sian..

*Playlist -->
1st four songs were sung by us in last yrs overseas comp
Last 2 songs will be sung for this yr's comp.
