Recent Events

Oh gosh, havent been updating for a rather long time :/

well, my life has been Ok. acceptable but having occasinal bumps and trips. ah well...i am busy but still have a lil time to post (=

it's almost the end of week 2 alr. time flies past so fast, n i hope hope HOPE that things will slow down. been trying hard to rush everything, but for the past few days i've been slping so early, yikes! dunno y i've been feelin so tired recently.

however, i do presume that life is gna become more hectic as everyone gets into full drive. syf is comin, and ipic draws closer and closer, along with every other thing. and of course, i find myself laggin behind, ohnoes =(

so now is the time to think back...wad interesting things have happened in the past few weeks...firstly, my sis' birthday! it occured on the 24th of march. She had a party at home la, with a few of her friends. i got her some toy that shakes its head side to side when it absorbs solar energy (= haha, hopefully it'll help her distress.

next, 2 recent icc competitions have just ended. the first was some climate change digital art competition, organised by the british council. chris n me took part (=

haha, and this is the ARMS (army museum of singapore) student art competition 2007, also done by chris n me

well, hopefully we can get something la (= other than that....oh ya! i ponned sch last thurs, n fri, cuz i was sick (= yeah man, and i finally had some REST! sometimes it's just better to get sick, rly enjoyed the time at home slping and lazing arnd, yeah

lastly, tmr is cell picnic! it's gna be fun, with everyone running arnd n screaming in botanic gardens. hope we dont disturb the fauna and flora too much (=

hmm, other than that i cant recall anything else! yikes, life is so mundane. luckily i have 4Q. our class makes people happy and...mad. mad as in hyper and jumpy and crazy, which is applicable to students, and mad as in angry and frustrated, which applies to a couple of teachers when they just cant stand our nonsense xD

ahh yes...one more thing. pls do get well soon reuben! (= so sry i cnt visit u, seriously have no time, darnit. but i'll keep u in prayer ya.

Okay, so today, we finally had Mission 2 the Future, an educational event for pri 5 to sec 3 infocomm club students. and we had to bring these people around science center to complete various activities...and it was rather screwed. lol :P

haha, lil kids running all over the place. to be more accurate, 100+ lil kids, controlled by a small group of us facilitators and organisers...it was pure madness, and craziness, and of course...when you have craziness and madness added together you get fun (= Plus cute lil kids that you just wanna pinch (btw i'm not like liangz the big nose, but these kids look rly cute!).

also, we all need to remember tt the facilitators arnt very sure of what to do, and how to go about doing what we are supposed to do. Nevertheless, the event was quite a success. apart from the frenzied people runnin all over the place, we achieved our objectives with few comprimises, good job to everyone!

the term has finally come to a close...with chem practical as our last lesson -.-

it has been a rly hectic week, and for once in a long, long time, i felt rly rly tired. tired not only physically, but mentally, and probably emotionally? hmm, the feeling wasnt too great. ok fine, it sucked. I kept wanting to fall asleep durin lessons, my whole body felt weak, my muscles were so heavy i couldn't do any excercise. i just wanted to hibernate, curled up in a cosy bed and take a holiday into dreamland for a couple of days.

well, it didn't turn out to be a holiday to dreamland, but one to malaysia instead. haha, the sacrifice was big though. i had to miss infocomm club camp, choir pt and prac/sectionals, a visit to the IT show @ suntec (with a secret agenda hehe), and of course, supporting our cell booth for some awareness thing. it was a tough choice, but well, i didn't rly have a choice la. i promised my parents tht i would be able to make the trip to m'sia 2 weeks ago.

what did i gain instead? very very yummy food, like crabs, and more crabs, and steamboat, and sashimi and what not! and also, visits to my parent's friends' lovely houses (note that it's not just 1 house xD). wonderful home-made ice-cream (A LOT in fact), and home-made cappuccino, and of course, must needed rest. the trade-off was not bad after all (=

but i still miss all the people back in singapore, and the fun we could've had together if i hadn't been on the trip. see u guys when i get back on monday. btw i can still chat on msn yay (=

apart from that, i'm in no mood to do any homework at all, although i brought a pile of it. haha, it just didn't feel right to do any work, considering that this is a school holiday, and also a family holiday...which gives me twice the justification not to do any form of work at all.

so well, it's time to be a pig for a while. sleep, and play, and just chill out. after that, it'll be another hectic week of school holidays. jeez, how ironic that sounds, but not unpredicatable. in fact, i was quite certain that it would come. n i am very certain that many other friends and students out there have a busy week ahead.

ok then, now is the time to enjoy what little time i have left. i guess it's time to turn in...soon xD

d-day

tmr is a big day. tmr is the day where we will know who gets to go to redmond. tmr will be a day of mixed feelings.

today was and is a big day too. chem test, which was okay...and the completion of ipic and cf stuff, which has yet to come. i will not elaborate further. today is and will be a day of mixed feelings.

so well, we talked about suicide, specifically about a guy who wanted to commit suicide at a train station:

a humiliated guy, belittled and looked down upon, even laughed at by the inanimate rocks that line his school garden. the world had lost hope for him, and so had he, for the world and for himself. the screeching of the train could be heard in the distance, and he prepared himself for the big moment. it is disturbing for the other commuters, but to him, it was a time of peace, a time to let his hair down even if he didn't have any on his gleaming round head.

he takes a deep breath, probably one of his last, and counts down. the moment of truth arrives as his feet leave the mrt platform. it soared past the yellow line on the floor, a sign of reaching his goal, and clinching his prize, of death.

he banged into something hard, and for once in his entire sorrowful life, a smile appeared on his face. the rest is probably quite obvious, but well, i shall continue on for the juicy details (=

hmm, i didn't mention the fact that this guy lagged...a lot. so well, we know that his heart had told his brain that he wanted to die, and so, his brain instructed his feet to lift his body off the ground and into the path of the oncoming train.

sounds like a successful suicide mission, but when he did all that, of course very slowly...the train had come to a stop and its doors had slided open. oh well, so he did jump......into the train.

this crest-fallen guy sighed as the man he banged into, when he jumped onto the train, cursed and sweared at him. it didn't bother him anymore, as such trivial things were already part and parcel of his woeful life. but well, it did seem lucky for him, or maybe funny to you out there.

but to him, it meant that even the mighty heavens and abyss of hell had denied him entry into their kingdoms. haiz, everyone sincerely hated him...

and it was then that he finally made the biggest decision of his life after this screwed up plan to kill himself. he would become a martian, at least mars didn't hate him...yet...

lol, a senseless story to cool the beast in me. been rather angry and pissed off at myself for countless things, of which i shall depend on my helpful companion, God, to take care of. shall try not to vent my anger elsewhere then, and pls remind me if i do so.

back to work, yikes...but i thank god that i have god, haha

Lessons today were rather normal, except that i broke some stuff in the physics lab (oh no!). Other than that, lunch was super fun...and of course, more people are playing gameboy now!

After School, we proceeded to the Ministry of Sound @ Clarke Quay (some pub like Zouk) for the National Infocomm Challenge Awards Night!!! Haha, was super excited since this was my first time going to such a place, and somemore we were all underage (except for this event...yay!!), and can't enter at all.

So well, chor n xu decided to take a cab there cuz we were late so we did. the outside didnt seem that appealing at first, but it was a real....real pub inside, smth like GTA that kinda pub haha! They had this funny alien figurines walking around at the entrace, which was super funny. One of them even wished me good luck for the 'o' levels lol!
